  • Description

'Mirabilia Mundi' is the latest album from Songdog, Welsh songwriter Lyndon Morgans's main project for the past 25 years. Over the course of the record's 10 songs Lyndon continues his exploration of favourite themes: time passing and the struggle to make sense of a disappearing world; a foreboding of things ending and a looking back at long-lost glory days. There are nods to the earliest Songdog albums woven throughout for those who know them. Lyndon is joined by fellow Songdog regular Karl 'Pod' Woodward, who provides piano and the distinctive Mellotron sound that peppers the album, plus new violinist Bethan Frieze. There's a new producer, too, Al Steele (also known as guitarist with The Korgis). Previous albums include 2022's 'Of Gods And Men' (which came out under Lyndon's own name), 'A Happy Ending, 'Joy Street', 'Last Orders at Harry's Bar', 'A Life Eroding', 'A Wretched Sinner's Song', 'The Time Of Summer Lightning', 'Haiku' and 'The Way Of The World' and were released to great reviews from the likes of Uncut, Mojo, The Mirror, Maverick, RnR and Americana UK amongst others. Lyndon's tracks have featured on BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6Music plus other regional and international shows, he recorded a session for Tom Robinson's show and his music has been praised by Bruce Springsteen and Robert Wyatt.
