Description
So far with the wonderful DVDs shot by Blues Archive we have presented legends - U.P. Wilson, Larry Garner and Otis Grand. With Lonnie Shields we have a 'new generation' bluesman who, at the time, was poised to be one of the next big names.
This was then Lonnie's only ever English gig, and what better place than The 100 Club - the London home of blues music for several decades.
Lonnie's a serious artist but is also a consummate showman (from the tough circuit of clubs where he comes from you better be….) and natural frontman. With a tight band that Otis Grand put together this was a terrific show …and Blues Archive were there to capture a moment in time…
