Over the years this power-trio has performed hundreds of concerts across Europe and the US, including the UK where they performed at theGateshead Int'l Jazz Festival. Their performance debut was acclaimed by jazz mastersDave LiebmanandEnrico Ravaandsighted in the prestigious Italian jazz history book'La Storia del Jazz'as one of the most important and unique new-generation bands of the last few years. In 2023Pericopes+1 was also nominated as 'Best Band of the Year' byItalian magazine,Musica Jazz.
"Good Morning World"outlines a return toPericopes'native melodicism, in which the essentiality of lyricism is intertwined with a prismatic compositional texture, giving a spatial sense of continuous rotation. This Jazz reflects the spirit of Italian creativity - solid in its traditional academic heritage but infused with cultures and sounds that have shaped the music of the present for more than a century - including references to dodecaphonic music, European and African-American jazz, post-rock sounds, prog-rock, avantgarde, combined with melodies of popular and liturgical inspiration.
