Recorded immediately following his work on Pharoah Sanders' Journey to the One, this album finds the "uber drummer" leading a powerhouse ensemble through a stripped-back and direct performance of pure rhythm and melody.
Featuring tenor titans Pharoah Sanders and George Coleman, the session balances hard-swinging bop with profound spiritual depth. Kabsha captures a vital chapter of Muhammad's career and his enduring musical partnership with Sanders, showcasing the rhythmic brilliance that established him as a cornerstone of the 1980s spiritual and post-bop scene.
