Description
“I’d rather be a mediocre original than a perfect imitator any time” Sweets once said and Lockjaw added “I deliberately handle the horn the way I do, to show I’m its master”. The two men who had so much in common in music were true originals and proved to be firm favourites with audiences everywhere. This CD is the result from a most happy session which took place during the Summer of 1976. Featured with Harry "Sweets" Edison and Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis are John Darville (trombone), Kenny Drew (piano), Hugo Rasmussen (bass) and Sven Erik Norregaard (drums).
Tracks: Opus Funk / You’re Too Beautiful / Robin’s Nest / Candy / There’s No Greater Love / The “C” Jam Blues / Lullabye For Dancers / Lester Leaps In / Spotlite / Blues Walk / Angel Eyes.
