Over the years Honing has built his international career by working with great American jazz artists such as guitarist Pat Metheny, bass player Charlie Haden and the legendary pianist Paul Bley. Wired Paradise is Honing's electric group consisting of Tony Overwater (bass), Joost Lijbaart (drums), the German avant-garde jazz guitarist Frank Möbus, and rock guitarist Paul Jan Bakker (ex Anouk, ex Kane). The music on this CD contains six brand new, powerful compositions in which passion and power dominate, but also atmosphere and melancholy. The saxophonist also recorded a fresh new version of the pop classic "Wild is the Wind" for this album.
