Description
The Needs could be considered a Norwegian super group, but they're not really interested in using that term. Formed by guitarist Maciek Ofstad of Norwegian metal-kings Kvelertak and Norway's self-proclaimed "country prince" and two time Norwegian Grammy winner Bendik Branne, The Needs come fully equipped with the necessary musical chops. Also on board, and an integral part of the songwriting is Branne's older brother, Mattis. Keeping it all together, the rhythm section consists of drummer Nils Jorgen Nilsen, from Honningbarna and bass player Knut-Oscar Nymo of Oslo punkers Oslo Ess. The Needs is the catchiest thing you'll hear all year, and they might even be the saviors of power-pop.
