Description
Sophomore EP from Radstewart who come from Cardiff, making home-spun lo-fi pop songs played on guitars and drums and vocals.
It's been a big year for Radstewart, and since playing their first show just over a year ago – they've seen their self recorded (on a physics department microphone) debut EP sell out, supported Sky Larkin on their UK tour, drawn packed crowds at Green Man, SWN, and Southsea Festival, as well as signing to AIM Small Label of the Year Alcopop! Records… All the while catching the eye of the likes of Huw Stephens, NME, DIY, Artrocker, XFM and Adam Walton.
The sound continually draws those inevitable comparisons with the likes of Pavement, Weezer and Parquet Courts – yet their lo-fi, slacker pop is as fresh as it is irresistible.
They are out on tour in February with Mowbird, and in March with Johnny Foreigner.
They say: "We made this record with guitars, drums and dry wit in a community centre, a drugs den and an attic in Grangetown. This, we acknowledge, is obvious. Wiccans and Beatlemancers differs from the last EP in that we hired a clean scented man called Oli to record our instruments and mouthparts with no extra reverb, sonically maintaining our unintentionally wonky playing whilst adding some Polish. And it's more polished.
We loved writing these songs and genuinely hope some of you enjoy what we've made."
