Description
EMF proudly release brand new album 'The Beauty and The Chaos', on EMF Recordings. 'The Beauty and The Chaos', finds the band at their full creative tilt delivering Classic EMF! And sees the band re-united with Ralph Jezzard, who produced their worldwide hit Unbelievable and their first 2 albums (Schubert Dip and Stigma).
"We produced another set of classic songs about our lives and the world in 2023 inspired by our favourite sounds from the past, present and future. We mixed together James Atkin's techno synths, Ian Dench's punk guitar, heated it to 200 degrees with Stevey Marsh and Aid Todd's groovy rock rhythms, iced it with Derry Brownson's maniacal sampling and popped it in a box of Ralph Jezzard's sonic excellence. Unwrap and enjoy!" - EMF
Describing 'The Beauty and The Chaos' as "Auditory Glory and Stories" the album's themes are "perhaps bigger and more political than previous releases. About / Covering immigration, protest, climate change and our place in the universe. We explore changing attitudes, addiction and soured friendships but also include classic EMF songs about our love of partying and the dance floor."
This energetic and diverse album features 10 finely crafted songs, with the opening track and first single Hello People setting the tone, with its indie grove and it's call to stand with tolerance against the hate-myths of immigration. A further 9 songs take the listener on a musical rollercoaster embracing Techno punk (Reach For The Lasers), Nasty Northern Soul (Read The Room), Swampy Electronica (I've Been Down), Prog Punk (Stardust) and Trip Trop gospel (Lookout Mountain), before the psychedelic Do It Again, a song about trying to grow up but failing, closes this sumptuous debut album in the best possible way.
The CD album features two bonus tracks; a remix of the first single Hello People featuring the great Stephen Fry and a remake of the Monkees cover 'I'm A Believer'.
To celebrate the release of 'The Beauty and The Chaos' album, EMF take to the road for a headline tour promising "songs, energy, lasers, community, excitement, and a feeling like we will all live forever."
