Description
The Phuturistix debut long player has been a long time in the making. With the core production partnership of Zed Bias (godfather of break-step) and Manchester's Injekta, this A-list project is some serious twisted soul music.
Redirecting the garage sound towards a deep, soulful future, it's rhythm music with no limits. Originally conceived in the late '90's, Phuturistix released 2000's 'Matrix EP' and 2001's 'Deep Down EP' on Locked-On.
Now signed to Hospital, the debut album 'Feel It Out' paints a bigger picture, combining the depth of soul and jazz-past with the tuff swing of garage and ruffness of UK urban rhythms. The album features a host of underground British stars including Jenna G, Atjazz, Mr J and Amma.
The crossover appeal is apparent when you take a look at the names who are supporting the album; from break-step soldiers Jay Da Flex and Oris Jay, to house heads like Ashley Beedle, to freestyle legends Gilles Peterson and Mr Scruff.
We can see the Phuture.
