Description
Blender brings this legacy to his new label, Island Splash Entertainment. Most of the songs on the Higher Heights rEvolution album are self-produced and contain Blender’s stamp, conscious roots reggae music. The album’s tracks include Blender’s perspective on his five year hiatus from the recording studio ‘Bubbaru’ and is followed by ‘Hold On In Deh’, Blender’s salve for anyone who has faced adversity. Blender doesn’t hold back on the truth in ‘When You Wrong You Wrong.’ In another track, ‘Conference Table’, his faith leads him to remind us that Jah should be involved in everything we do. The melody on this track takes you back to the times when true music lovers would adjust the base and treble up! With the song ‘Ali Ali Ho’ Blender is singing a prayer, singing praises to Jah, “Onto thee oh Jah, we lift up our heads so we can get our daily bread. Without you oh father, we don’t know what would we do…when the tide gets high and there is no place to hide, under Jah wings we do abide.” The song ‘Lion Crown’ holds a special place in Bender’s heart, as he is accompanied by his daughter Isha, singing praises, saluting Jah with special drumming sequences geared to awaken the hearts of the listener. Another combination song ‘Conserve’ with DJ Engee dadon, rounds out the album of 15 Songs
