  • Description

TESSERACT'S CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED DEBUT ALBUM FOR KSCOPE AVAILABLE ON LP.

"the platonic ideal of a TesseracT album, the one where they get everything just right. It's drama-bringing, supremely melodic & riff-heavy." Revolver Magazine

"start to finish, Polaris is affecting, captivating & bloody gorgeous" Metal Hammer

The pioneers of an ever-evolving metal scene, TesseracT, released their third studio album 'Polaris' to worldwide acclaim in 2015.

Originally formed as a studio project by guitarist Acle Kahney, TesseracT are a band full of melody, dynamics & groove, they sit outside the bounds of any genre specificity to truly create a sound that has always been pioneering & creative; an unstoppable force of off-kilter riffs, soaring melodies & disorientating atmospherics.

In 2015, the band found a new creative energy when they reunited with original singer Dan Tompkins. 'Polaris' was an evolution from previous release 'Altered State' & features skilful experimentation with sounds & tones, plus a deeper exploration of the core attributes that define TesseracT's trademark sound.

Sold out on limited edition Picture Disc for RSD 2022, Kscope is now proud to make this fantastic record available to the wider public again on vinyl.

Tesseract's 'Polaris' will be issued via Kscope on Single Black LP.

The pioneers of an ever-evolving metal scene, TesseracT, released their fourth studio album entitled 'Sonder' in April 2018, following 2015's worldwide acclaimed 'Polaris'.

Having found a new creative energy after reuniting with original singer Dan Tompkins, the band's output changed in 2015 with the opus 'Polaris'; an undoubted evolution from 'Altered State', featuring skilful experimentation with sounds & tones, plus a deeper exploration of the core attributes that define TesseracT's trademark sound. This critically acclaimed, landmark album from the band is available on Digipack CD Edition via Kscope.

    Description

2025 EDITION OF TESSERACT'S LAUDED THIRD STUDIO ALBUM - DIGIPACK CD INCLUDES 12-PAGE LYRIC BOOKLET.

Released in 2015, 'Polaris' marked a quiet shift for TesseracT - their third album, their first with Kscope & the return of original vocalist Daniel Tompkins. His presence brought focus. Instead of chasing scale, the band explored contrast: dense grooves set against clean vocals, sharp turns softened by space & melody. Tracks like "Tourniquet" & "Phoenix" ease into motion, while "Messenger" hits harder but with restraint. 'Polaris' builds tension not by force, but by control.

"start to finish, Polaris is affecting, captivating & bloody gorgeous" 9/10 METAL HAMMER

Where earlier work had often felt dense & confrontational, 'Polaris' moved differently. The band played with negative space, letting ideas breathe without softening their weight. Heaviness didn't disappear - it found new shape. The result is measured but tense, detailed without feeling overworked. "Hexes" & "Seven Names" don't rush; they take their time, leaning on tone & pacing instead of sheer technical display. Even at its most complex, 'Polaris' never feels crowded.

"Polaris is pure confidence converted into sound" CLASSIC ROCK

Since the release of 'Polaris' in 2015, TesseracT have solidified their position as a leading force in progressive metal. The album achieved notable chart success, hitting the US Billboard 200 & securing top 10 positions on various UK charts, including #9 on the Indie Albums & #7 on the Rock & Metal charts. Following this, the band embarked on extensive global tours, performing at major festivals such as Rock AM Ring, Download Festival & RADAR.

Their subsequent releases, including the critically acclaimed 'Sonder' in 2018 & 'War Of Being' in 2023, have been praised for their innovation & depth, with 'War Of Being' described as "the bravest & boldest record they have made to date."

This 4-panel digipack CD edition of 'Polaris' includes a printed 12-page lyric booklet.
