Description
Since her studies of the flute and ancient music Dorothea Seel has become an expert of flutes of the 18th and 19th centuries. She gave concerts with orchestras like The English Concert, London Classical Players, Concerto Cologne, Munich Chamber Orchestra, under conductors such as S. Rattle, R. Norrington and N. Harnoncourt. She hold master classes for travers flute, classic flute and romantic flute at the Southampton University in England, the State Music College of Trossingen, the Vienna City Conservatory and the Music Academy of Riga. As Artistic Director of the Ensemble „Barocksolisten München" she has released concerts of Vivaldi and the complete ouevre of flute sonatas by CPE Bach. In 2016 she will release additional solo concerts by Zach, concerts by J. S. Bach and flute sonatas by G. F. Händel via Hänssler Classic.
