Description
Recorded in Ontario in 2013 and New Orleans in 2015, this album represents the unshackling of the Groanbox sonic confines.
Written together in their makeshift studios, the recording locations provided the inspiration: the instruments and insects of the rural Canadian shack; the crashing destruction of the broken down cabin in the woods; the drips, echoes and bat screeches during the night session in Bonnechere's underground caves.
The words and melodies are saturated with the culture and history of New Orleans.
In Groanbox's 10th year, this album marks the next mutation in their continual creative evolution. -
