Description
The renowned Puerto Rican roots reggae band Gomba Jahbari was born in 1998, founded by Carmelo Romero and Miguel Lampón. The name is the result of the combination of two African words in Spanish that means "Brave Warriors". Since its establishment, the group has achieved countless successes during its 18-year history. Gomba Jahbari has excelled in the top radio stations in his country and internationally. They have collaborated in the studio and shared the stage with local and international artists including Bunny Wailer, Culture, Black Uhuru and Steel Pulse among many more.
After four years, the band launches its seventh album titled "La Vieja Senda". With this proposal the group invites the public to have a cultural experience with the traditional Caribbean roots reggae recipe that characterizes them. The songs were inspired by experiences of Don Carmelo and other situations that can occur to any average citizen. The album includes collaboration with Inesta one of the most important exponents of Panama, and Bonetto, a member of the legendary band Los Cafres Argentina. With "La Vieja Senda" Gomba Jahbari celebrates 18 years of solid experience in the music scene. The album has 15 tracks, 14 of which are composed by Don Carmelo.
