Description
The solo project of Sam Duckworth, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, entered the musical hemisphere all the way back in 2006 with debut The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager. Delicately formed and honestly played out, it merged together elements of folk, indie, and a political narrative.
Staunch in his liberal left-wing views, politics and the latter were woven into the self-titled LP, 'Maps' and the most recent album 'London Royal' (2014). Lyrically discussing commentary around austerity, the economic crisis, and the issues of a biased media.
After a hiatus and explorations under Duckworth's own name and the Recreations moniker, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is back with its seventh studio album. 'Young Adult' features 10 politically charged indie-pop songs, and includes collaboration with Shy FX entitled 'Always'.
