Description
In 2019 Cork alt-folk band Boa Morte returned from a 10 year hiatus to
release this quiet gem of an album on Gare du Nord Records.
The band fuse elements of folk, electronica, ambience and field recordings -
synths, drones, piano, wind, strings and effects combine to produce a rich
autumnal cocktail with hints of Smog, Will Oldham, late Talk Talk or a slowcore
Beta Band.
"There are haunting moments to this album that one doesn't often fnd." - For
Folks Sake 2019
"This is a luxurious listen, crammed with hushed hymns and magnetic slowburners." - Hot Press 2019.
"As if Brian Eno's' Apollo' had been recorded by Robert Wyatt & James Yorkston." - Rock and Reel 2019
