At the end of 2003, there was a sold-out concert in the NDR's Grober Sendesaal in Hanover, where Esther sang accompanied by the NDR Pops Orchestra conducted by Peter Herbolzheimer. Recorded digitally. Esther Ofarim and Peter Herbolzheimer haveknown each other for ages. Their joint performance at Bio's Bahnhof in the 1980s isalmost legendary. The result is a very lively meeting of two legends, for which the66-piece NDR Pops Orchestra spreads out a wonderfully delicate and unobtrusivecarpet. Esther Ofarim floats above it, stringing together a Hebrew lullaby, Kurt Weill,Paul McCartney and Mendelssohn-Bartholdy across genres and categories.
