Description
Franz has been playing professionally for over seventy years and must rate as one of the greatest tenor sax players of all time. He has lead his own groups and worked with the likes of Roy Eldridge, Fats Waller, Earl Hines and many more. This albumbrings him together with The Salty Dogs again the band he first played with in 1956. The album consists of a diversity of originals and revisits, such as the wonderful "Yellow Fire" of Earl Hines fame. Seventy years on and one of the greatest tenor sax players ever.
