Description
Kevin Crawford is one of the finest young flute players in Irish traditional music today. He is internationally acclaimed member of top Irish band, Lunasa. Born in Birmingham, UK to Clare parents, his early life was sound tracked by the vibrant trad scene in that Midlands heartland. He moved to Clare in 1989 and was quickly embraced by the trad scene around Ennis. Since then he has travelled the world playing his beautiful music. Nowadays based in New York, he still tours with Lunasa, and various other musical outfits. On this disc he has rounded of two of his regular collaborators, New York fiddle master, Dylan Foley and guitarist Patrick Doocy under the disguise of The Drunken Gaugers,
a name take from the set dance of the same name associated with Clare fiddle master, Bobby Casey.
