"The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob" is a 1973 French cult comedy which stars Louis de Funès in one of his most famous roles. This very famous soundtrack composed by Vladimir Cosma includes lots of big band, choppy wah wah funk with bold, brassy sound. The track "Danses Hassidiques", an inspired by traditional music, became a standard often heard at Bar Mitzvah or Jewish weddings. This CD includes also "Levy et Goliath" another film soundtrack from the same composer and a lot of unreleased versions as well as a new version of the main theme of Rabbi Jacob re-writen for symphonic orchestra.
