Quartet Records and Atresmúsica present the score by Fernando Velázquez (Ocho apellidos vascos, The Last Days, Mama) for the comedy-drama Thi Mai, Rumbo a Vietnam, directed by Patricia Ferreira and starring Carmen Machi, Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, Adriana Ozores and Dani Rovira.
It is a story about Carmen, who after losing her daughter in a car accident, travels to Vietnam along with her two best friends to find Thi Mai, the child her daughter was supposed to adopt before passing away.
Fernando Velázquez provides many diverse motifs, from a catchy tango to descriptive music and an emotive theme characteristic of his writing. Oriental flavor dominates the imaginatively orchestrated score. The composer conducts the Navarre Symphony Orchestra.
