  • Description

Tango Negro Trio, one of the most important and original contemporary urban Tango Nuevo groups, perform the fascinating, complex music of composer, pianist and trombonist Juan Carlos Caceres.

'No Me Rompas Las Bolas' for Caceres represents the natural evolution of the Tango Negro Trio project, started a few years ago with the aim of promoting the music from the Rio de la Plata region – tango, milonga, habanera, murga and candombe which represent the most widespread musical expressions of Buenos Aires's and Montevideo's urban cultures. Accompanied by the talented Marcelo Russillo on percussion and Carlos "El Tero" Buschini on the bass and co-author of some of the tracks, Caceres offers us some key compositions from his repertoire in new and fresher versions together with a wide selection of new compositions.

Special guests include the internationally renowned tango artist Daniel Melingo who provides gravel-voiced narration on various tracks and saxophonist Javier Girotto who has worked with Enrico Rava.

Personnel: Juan Carlos Caceres (piano, vocals, trombone), Marcelo Russillo (drums, percussion), Carlos "El Tero" Buschini (bass), Javier Girotto (saxophone), David Pecetto (bandoneon, accordion), Oliver Manoury (accordina), Alejandro Caraballo (bombo murguero), Martin Bruhn (cajon), Natalio Mangalvite (backing vocals), Daniel Melingo (narration)
