"Die fragmentierte Wahrnehmung", the tenth CD of the Wohlhauser Edition on NEOS, presents eight works for various chamber music formations. The three works with the largest instrumentation are the title work Die fragmentierte Wahrnehmung, Concertino No. 1 for flute and ensemble and Concertino No. 2 for clarinet and ensemble. Also included are the Piano Trio No. 2, the Trios for Soprano, Violin and Piano No. 1 and No. 2 and the Duo for Flute and Violoncello No. 2.
The CD concludes with the solo work Marmamorais, dedicated to the flutist Claudia Weissbarth, who also recorded it for this CD.
In Die fragmentierte Wahrnehmung and the two trios, Rene Wohlhauser has set his own poems to music.
