Description
"For my money Megson are amongst the most exciting trailblazers of British Contemporary Folk." Seth Lakeman
Originally from the North of England, Stu Hanna and Debbie Palmer moved to London the year before releasing their début album On the Side in 2005. In the subsequent two years, they have steadily won a growing legion of fans on the London acoustic scene (and across the British folk/roots movement) with their captivating songs, poignant lyrics, beautiful harmonies and impeccable musicianship. They have a relaxed, easy stage manner that belies the vibrancy of the song performances. Plaudits have come thick and fast, not only from the fans but also musicians like Mercury Music Prize nominee Seth Lakeman, BBC Radio 2 DJ Bob Harris (who has an upcoming BBC session in June with the duo) and such key music publications as fRoots.
Tracks: Smoke Of Home / Lambkin / Follow It On / Fell To The Breeze / Sammy's Ghost / Just As The Tide / I Lied / Humanlands / Durham Gaol / Flood Water / Name Of The Rose / Everynight When The Sun Goes In.
