Sun Shooter is the 5th album from V-Sor, X (pronounced vee-sore-ex). Three of these five releases are on Dox Music and two others on German independent labels as the band have a global following.
Broadly in the Electronic Alt-Rock genre, people have likened their music as a combination of Depeche Mode or Killing Joke, New Order or The Stranglers, Garbage or Led Zeppelin.
V-Sor,X have a long history together but also have been involved in parallel projects. Rolls (bass) has been in bands since he started wearing long trousers; Rob (kbds/production) has written worldwide number one hits for k-pop and R&B bands and has worked with other internationally known UK artists and TV franchises; Morgan (gtr/vox) has release 9 albums, supported Duran Duran at Wembley arena and worked (as a tech) for Prince and Adamski. However long and winding their story is, V-Sor,X is a constant source energy and pride for them. While being lauded in the European underground scene for many years, recent material (like the Reformer album) has gained them broader audiences.
Sun Shooter has taken their output to a remarkable new level. This isn't a slow-grower album. Two listens in and you'll be firm friends with most of the tracks. Four listens in and you won't be able to pick your favourite child. Happily, there is a lot more still to come but for now this album has weaving themes, beats and intriguing lyrical in a rich and varied album. Definitely not one song repeated nine times.
