Founded in 1977, Tabu Records gave the world hugely successful acts like Alexander O'Neal, Cherrelle, the S.O.S. Band, Brainstorm and many others, whilst nurturing the powerhouse production team of Jimmy Jam and Terry
Lewis – one of the most successful production teams of the last thirty years.
The S.O.S. Band's seventh album "Diamonds In the Raw" (1989) was the first to feature the new twin lead vocal line-up of Chandra Currelley and Fredi Grace. Produced by Curtis Williams from Kool & The Gang as well as Eban Kelly & Jimi Randolph and Jason Bryant & Sigidi, the album features the hits "I'm Still Missing Your Love" and "Secret Wish".
This expanded casebound book set features several additional remixes as well as the lyrics and newly-authored notes by Justin Kantor, based on 2013 interviews with Abdul Ra'oof, Chandra Currelley and Fredi Grace. -
