Description
Eddie Condon was the jazzman who knew everybody. As fixer, mentor, and all-round good guy, he had few equals.
Condon, in setting-up a 'Fats Waller and his Buddies' session in 1929, is usually credited with facilitating the first integrated jazz recording session. He also had an impeccable ear.
These sides, cut by greats across a wide spectrum of jazz, are testimony to all his qualities.
Featuring: Louis Armstrong, Gene Krupa, Jack Teagarden, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday, Coleman Hawkins and many more.
