Description
This double album is a testimony of a meeting of two artists who enjoy discovering numerous things they have in common in perception of the creative gesture: freedom of sound, striving for aesthetic diversity, a unique vision of notation, in which the piano is treated more like an orchestra than a solo instrument, the desire for expressiveness, which excludes neither references to the Neo-Romanticism, nor the use of modern techniques, and finally the wealth of creative energy as well as the overwhelming desire to cooperate.
Their artistic worlds are characterised by complementarity. While the music of one of the composers is often narrative, sometimes brutal, yet always striving for a rhythmic and poetic ideal, like a Greek Aoidos telling his absorbing story, the other composer uses a capricious language, humorous, sometimes bizarre, with pleasant, extraordinary mobility, constructed with utmost care and at the same time giving a joyful impression of improvisation.
