Description
Ex The Boys lead Singer goes solo. Produced with the help of Tony Barber (Buzzcocks) and with musical contributions from Vom Ritchie(Drums) ,James Stevenson and Big Nigel Banks (Guitars) and recorded in a shed (literally) Little Big Head is the sound of a songwriter at ease with himself and his muse.
After a further recording with other Boys members under the name "The Mattless Boys", and writing songs for other bands such as The Cute Lepers, Duncan has realised his dream by releasing his first solo album "Little Big Head".
Comprising 13 brand new songs (pared down from 16 ) to give us a brace of shining new power pop gems. bringing a unique angle to the pop punk genre, and taking it into new realms of melodic sweetness.
From the opening bars of "The One" Duncan sets out his stall and the ensuing tracks take the listener through the highs and lows of Duncans journey as an original frontman from the haady days of the Punk explosion dipping into his childhood, his love affairs and subsequent happy marriage all neatly encapsulated in three minute punchy guitar based bite sized morsels.
Indeed as he sums it up himself short and sweet like the songs herein,
"So here it is. 35 years in the making. I hope it's worth the wait"
