Formed in 1997 by Maya and Daygan, Dragonsfly is a Celtic-Eastern-Folk Fusion band with a unique sound born from the band member's musical tastes and influences. The current band members are Maya Preece (lead vocals, bagpipes, electro-acoustic classical guitar & recorders), Daygan Robinson (mandolin, bouzouki & lead vocals), Tom Simenauer (tabla, percussion, backing vocals), Duncan Moss (saxophones, flute, rauschpfeife, lute-back electro-accoustic hurdy gurdy, bagpipes & backing vocals) and Iccy Slade (bass & backing vocals).
Weaving it's exotic way through both language and time, their long-awaited third album FAMILIAR SHORES continues to entrance and captivate in the way only Dragonsfly can.
