Description
This Collection features outstanding performances from many of Ireland's finest singers and musicians. It includes a uniquely Irish selection of emigration songs, jigs and reels, Belfast street ballads and popular parlour songs from the early 1900's. Also featured are new, specially recorded pieces remembering Queenstown (Cobh), Co. Cork - the final port of call for RMS Titanic.
This Souvenir Collection features a timeless blend of music, song and dance, inspired by or taken from the exciting and pioneering era of the Titanic.
Some of the music featured was performed on the Titanic, many are similar to those danced to below deck in Steerage and most would have been known to the diverse social class of passenger.
"What a time it must have been, when the Century had turned and all the music came together in the brave new World "
