At the end of our tour of the Netherlands, back in the spring of 2025, Bert Pijpers of CRS Records, my Dutch record label approached me and asked if I would be interested in recording a live album with the guys for his personal label MUST HAVE MUSIC. A 'live in the studio' collection of some of our favourite songs that we play together as a four piece, something we have never captured on record before. I thought it was a great idea, as I had already been thinking of making a record with The Sinners. Craig, Adam, Pip and I have been playing together as Dean Owens & The Sinners for over three years now. We have developed our own, unique sound over the past few years together and capturing that sound live seemed like a great first step towards recording an album of brand new material together, one that will be called Glimmers.
So, over a couple of days Autumn 2025 we got together at Slate Room Studios, just outside Edinburgh and recorded these, our favourite sins. This collection of songs truly represents the sound we make together as a four piece band. It's definitely what you hear, is what you get, if you come and see us play live. We hope you will enjoy the songs we have selected. We certainly enjoyed recording them.
