Description
'Stretchin' Outside The Box' is the sixth release in a series of diverse recordings featuring some of the greatest musicians from all over the world called 'Outside The Box' with Stretchin' featuring members of Zac Brown Band, Toto, Chicago, Ringo Starr All Starr Band and Chic Corea Electric Band.
Highlights include a dynamic reimagining of The Weather Report classic "Teen Town" featuring sixteen of the world's greatest bass players including Nathan East, Will Lee, John Patitucci, and Henrik Linder from the YouTube sensation Dirty Loops.
Includes an all-drum composition "Remembering Carlos Vega", which features iconic drummers such as Steve Gadd (Eric Clapton, Paul Simon), Vinnie Colaiuta (Sting, Herbie Hancock, Jeff Beck), John JR Robinson (Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Steve Winwood), and Abe Laboriel Jr (Paul McCartney).
Includes previously unreleased material from the late tenor sax jazz master, Michael Brecker with his brother Randy.
Recorded in LA, Nashville, New York,. New Jersey, St. Louis, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, and Minneapolis.
Includes mixes by Grammy winners Erik Zobler, Mick Guzauski and recently deceased legend Al Schmitt. -
