"Recovered" is an album of re-interpretations of my own songs, songs I wrote for and with other artists. I've been thinking about doing it for a while but only in the past few years did my catalog seem deep enough. My vision for the list of songs was to choose some big hits to re-imagine, and some songs that I've always felt got lost in the shuffle.
Sonically, the record is the sound of me and some of my favorite musicians playing the songs live at United Studios in Hollywood, straight to tape. We all pushed each other to create new vibes for the songs. My hope is that these new versions shed new light on both the familiar hits and the less-familiar gems..
