Bill Emerson and the Sweet Dixie Band
Description
Among Bluegrass fans Bill Emerson is considered one of the most influential banjo pickers to ever tune a five-string. His time with Jimmy Martin (that's Bill on Jimmy's 'Good & Country Instrumentals' album), Buzz Busby (note his work on the Busby classic "Lost"), The Country Gentlemen (a founder of the group) and Cliff Waldron (together they introduced "Fox On The Run" and "Proud Mary" to the Bluegrass genre) firmly established his place in the halls of Bluegrass history. This new album features many old friends and band mates including Tony Rice, Paul Williams, Dudley Connell and Jimmy Gaudreau.
Tracks: Ridin' My Thumb To Mexico / Hills Of Roane County / A Little Rain / Fiddler's Green / Yard Sale / Beautiful / Linda Lou / Maybe Someday / Cold Sheets Of Rain / Keep On The Sunny Side Of Life / All My Ramblin' Days Are Through / There's No Room Inside Your Heart / Sweet Dixie Girl / All The Best / Three Day Beard And A Rusty Jeep.
