Description
First release by a duo featuring two extremely gifted European based guitarists - Trevor Warren and Abelardo Oquendo Heraud.
'Migrations' features the Spanish based UK-born guitarist Trevor Warren and the Peruvian guitarist Abelardo Oquendo Heraud, who now lives and works in Granada. From their diverse backgrounds, both guitarists bring a fresh approach to original compositions and two Wayne Shorter numbers ("Wild Flower" and "Infant Eyes").
Trevor Warren has been playing guitar since 1982, largely self taught, exploring rock, jazz, world and folk idioms, most recently in his award-winning band Disassembler (33 Records) and Deva, whose music has been aired on the BBC TV programmes Real Story and Panorama amongst others. In 2012 he travelled to Kenya to record and produce an album by Kenyan musician Ayub Ogada.
Abelardo Oquendo Heraud was born in Lima, but has lived and worked in NYC and LA, before settling in Granada. In 1999 he recorded an acclaimed album 'In Search of Happiness' for the Buddhist Monastery of Garraf.
