These previously unreleased recordings from 2006-2008 have captured twelve outstanding live concert performances by Toots Thielemans, the world's most famous harmonica player. Together with his regular working band he performs several classic jazz standards as well as his own classic composition and "Bluesette", reprises his performance on the original Midnight Cowboy soundtrack theme.
Over a long career the 88 year-old musician has performed in concert or recorded with all the jazz greats: Charlie Parker, Quincy Jones, Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald, Bill Evans, Pat Metheny, George Shearing, Jaco Pastorius, Natalie Cole and even Paul Simon and Billy Joel. He's been heard on dozens of film scores including Midnight Cowboy, The Getaway, Sugarland Express, Cinderella Liberty, Turks Fruit and Jean de Florette.
