Description
It all started with a rejection. Flutist Erik Drescher applied for a cooperation with composer Peter Ablinger at the end of 2019.
Initially, it was supposed to be a kind of continuation of the joint 2014 album Augmented Studies, especially an extension of the multi-track pieces for (then) 16 or 22 flutes.
The rejection came in February 2020. Then came Covid-19. They both had nothing to do and decided to start their project –
unfinanced, of course. Here we are, almost two years later, and the album appears.
Erik Drescher presents a multiinstrument hologram of new flute music, not to be missed by anyone who is curious enough to embark on a journey into the unknown.
"Kairos" is the Greek word describing the opportune moment
– hardly ever in the label's history it has been as appropriate as for the release of this album.
