Description
The chamber works presented on this new album of Ernst Helmuth Flammer's music, performed by Ensemble Aventure, engage with the phenomenon of time and its philosophical and anthropological context.
Flammer (b.1949), a German composer and musicologist, studied mathematics and physics in his early career and in later life focussed on art history and philosophy. These interests are prevalent in his musical compositions, including in the chamber works on this CD.
Ensemble Aventure, founded in 1986 in Freiburg, champion new music through their Freiburg concert series, numerous commissions and world premiere performances.
