  • Description

Galg was formed in late 2013 by O and S, after having worked together before in other bands. For the first demo, they were joined by D on vocals, with their friend M from Fluisteraars providing drums for the recording. In early 2014 D parted ways with the band, and M joined Galg permanently on drums. This has remained the definitive lineup through the rest of their releases. "Teloorgang" was their first and final full length record. Just like Galg, it was inspired by trying to find beauty in the modern world, and failing. Unlike previous releases that featured harsh elements of electrical noise, "Teloorgang" exclusively features physical musical instruments. Inspired by other bands such as Fell Voices and The Body, the record features Galg's typical repetitive and percussive sounds in an attempt to evoke feelings of alienation and estrangement. "Teloorgang" is now finally seeing the light, almost 10 years after it was recorded. The band's self-description is: "We are a group of happy individuals who are wholly content with modern life. Galg is the result of everything that depresses us."
