Description
In this recording, the third in a series of three in which we present recently rediscovered works and unfamiliar repertoire, we explore the salient characteristics of organ performance in the Prince-Bishopric of Liège and its influence on the French classical organ style.
The project was launched on the discovery of the Tongeren Organ Manuscript (Manuscript Berx); the contents of this manuscript will be published as a modern performing edition within the near future. Readers are invited to consult www.kuleuven.academia.edu/LucPONET for further information on all of the above.
Luc Ponet gives lectures, master classes and concerts throughout the world. He has recorded for Naxos, Pavane Records, Étoile Productions and, from 2018 on, for Etcetera Records; articles by him have also appeared in various professional journals.
