Description
Making their MDG debut, young violinist Kirill Troussov performs with his sister, pianist Alexandra Troussova.
On his Recital CD we find public favourites like Khachaturian's "Saber Dance" and Rachmaninov's "Vocalise" as well as Alfred Schnittke's wonderful "Suite in the Old Style" and Prokofiev's Sonata No. 2.
Troussov's violin, one of the most significant of all musical instruments, also recalls the past: Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto was premiered on the Brodsky Stradivarius once owned by Adolf Brodsky, and Troussov in every way proves to be the legitimate heir to this tradition.
This brother and sister performed together on the stage even when they were children – so that it is hardly surprising that they have developed a perfect mutual understanding illustrated perfectly on this debut CD.
