Description
After a successful recording of Ludwig Thuille's String Quartets, Capriccio continue their quest to cast light on a relatively forgotten composer. Thuille worked as a composer and teacher of the Münchner Schule, one of the leading musical centres of Europe at the turn of the 20th century. He was a friend of Richard Strauss and there is no doubt Strauss had a big influence on Thuille's Lieder. On this new recording Baritone Roman Trekel and pianist Hartmut Höll perform a selection of Thuille's works for voice and piano.
