Description
With this recording, Vojtech Semerad and the vocal ensemble Cappella Mariana continue their exploration of the Central European musical culture of the 15th and early 16th centuries. While the first recording (PAS1124) focused exclusively on the previously unknown Flemish composer Johannes Tourout (ca. 1430-?), this recording also features works by his contemporaries Gaspar van Weerbeke (ca.1452-after 1517) and Heinrich Isaac (ca.1450-1517). Once again, exciting musical discoveries of Franco-Flemish polyphony are presented.
