Description
Gregory Isaacs, a Jamaican musician widely celebrated as the "Cool Ruler" of reggae. Known for his smooth voice and emotive style, Isaacs initially made his mark with roots reggae and lovers rock before exploring the dub genre with this album. Produced by Prince Jammy, a dub legend, 'Slum in Dub' is a deep and atmospheric album featuring stripped-down, reverb-heavy versions of Isaacs' tracks.
'Slum in Dub' is considered a masterpiece in both Gregory Isaacs' discography and in the broader dub reggae genre, with a sound that remains influential in reggae and beyond.
