‘Tunes For Two’ (produced by Chet Atkins) with Skeeter Davis was released in 1965 was one of the most popular country albums in the 1960s. The track ‘A Dear John Letter’ was a particular favourite in the UK and it reached #11 in the US Billboard country singles chart while the album peaked at #8.
‘Your Husband, My Wife’ (produced by Ronny Light) also with Skeeter Davis was released in 1970 with its title track being a #22 chart single.
Between them, ‘The Game Of Triangles’ was released in 1967 with its title track reaching #5 in the Billboard country charts. Produced by Chet Atkins, Bob Ferguson and Felton Jarvis, it saw Bobby Bare teaming up with two different singers; Norma Jean who was best known as a featured artist on Porter Wagoner’s TV show and Liz Anderson, hit songwriter and mother of country star Lynn Anderson.
