Description
A soundtrack combining some old R&B classics with new recordings from an American HBO movie set in Lackawanna, New York, in 1956, at the dawn of integration. Rachel "Nanny" Crosby run a rooming house filled with black folk from the South, a group of colourful characters. Into this world comes Jr, a little boy Nanny takes in and raises as her own son.
Fueled by the rhythm of the blues, this coming of age story tells the tale of a young boy whose life is changed by Nanny's love and by the stories from her various boarder's outrageous lives and haunted pasts.
