Based in Leicester UK for over twenty years, Dawson Smith is originally from South Wales and has a well earned reputation for fronting great bands and rocking venues all over the UK and beyond. Dawson first made his name as the frontman/ songwriter of blues rockers The Healers (during the 90's).
Following The Healers, Dawson recorded two successful solo albums. 'Valley Boy' (2002) and 'The River Road' (2005). Loads of gigging followed, playing with top road band The Dissenters. Now there is a new album, 'Took The Night' is a collection of 11 brand new Dawson songs, recorded with The Dissenters and a host of guest musicians. Including Sally Barker, Mick Ridgway (Mojo Hand) Gaz Birtles (Beautiful South) Drew Stansall (The Specials). ).
