Hailing from the heart of the mountain regions of Virginia and North Carolina, Junior and the other four members of the group may be third generation musicians, but the music they play would warm the hearts of the great traditional artists all the way back to the first generation.
This is the third release for Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, all recorded for the Rebel label, and the band has scooped up various award nominations and lots of airplay for its two previous records: Blue Side of the Blue Ridge and Heartaches and Dreams. Numerous songs have charted, including “Leaving Baker County,” “Little Bit of This, Little Bit of That” and “Train Without a Track.” There will be more from this new CD, including the excellent “A Far Cry From Lester & Earl” and a gorgeous duet with Rhonda Vincent “The Sound of Your Name.”
